This evening at 5:30pm, there will be a parent meeting for all 5th Grade parents/guardians that have a student in 5th Grade Band.
In this meeting, we will discuss the ILIS Band website, resources, mouthpiece testing, and how to rent your student's instrument when that time comes. We hope you're all having as great a week as the students in Ms. Anderson's 5th grade Math classes!
She writes: "Today, my classes practiced working together and communicating in a fun cup stacking activity.
Each group was given cups and a rubber band with 4 strings tied to it and had to stack the cups without touching the cups themselves. They stacked the cups right side up, upside down, and even made a pyramid! It was awesome hearing my students communicate, strategize, and learn the importance of collaboration!"

Heads up! When you receive your car rider tags tomorrow, be sure to hold onto them! Don’t just toss them aside. Even if your student typically rides the bus, there may be times you’ll need that tag (including the Spring Dance- it’s required!). We recommend keeping it in your glove box so it’s always easy to find when you need it.
