Get ready, Warrior Families- It’s almost time for our BIGGEST fundraiser of the year! If you’ve had students come through ILIS before, you know these funds are spent the same year we raise them, and we make sure each dollar goes FAR. We're talking turf installations, gym renovations, media center overhauls, supporting our encore departments and more. It's amazing.

This year, we are looking to raise our largest amount yet: $90,000! Here's how we plan to spend this money:
⭐Enrich Student Experience on Campus - From recess to PE to outdoor learning, we’re upgrading spaces and equipment to keep kids moving, laughing, and thriving.
⭐Beautify Our Campus Grounds - We’re refreshing our school’s exterior with pine straw and pressure washing.
⭐Celebrate Students, Families & Staff - We’re fueling the fun with events that bring our students and families together as well as showing appreciation for our staff!

We appreciate all your support and hope to see you on campus to watch your students run! The Color Run is 9/26, and while we are launching the campaign on 9/17, registration is already open. You can sign your student up now and start raising funds! We'll talk more about this on Monday during Facebook Live- be sure to join us at 2:45pm, watch the replay on your own time, or find it on our website the next day!

Want more information, including how to register? Visit our school website and look under "Current Events"!

We are so happy to have Mr. Davis at The Intermediate School! He fits right into the E Hall as a 5th grade Math & Science teacher, and has brought such a positive energy to the ILIS Family. Last week, his class learned about the relationship between gravity and Earth, and how gravity decreases as we move away from Earth’s surface. Students were able to study this relationship by using a ruler, paperclip, yarn, and a magnet by working in groups during a lab!

Thank you for sharing this awesome assignemnt with us, Mr. Davis, and have a great night, Warriors!

Good Morning, Warriors! We hope you're enjoying this gorgeous weather as much as Mr. Pendarvis's 5th grade science class! We want to shout out and thank the classes & PTO from 2023-24 year who fundraised for the turf & fence decor by 521. It's utilized both during recess and class time, and is a wonderful space for our kids to enjoy. Boosterthon dollars go so far providing wonderful spaces for not only the classes that raise the money, but for many years to come. Have a great day, Warriors! 💙☀️💙

Ms. Jollie sent over a few photos sharing what she did with her class last Thursday! She writes: "Today in class, we were doing the spaghetti marshmallow challenge. Seeing which team could collaborate & communicate to create the tallest tower with a marshmallow at the top using only 20 pieces of dry spaghetti and a yard of masking tape." This is such a fun and creative way to teach a lesson in your 5th Grade Math&Science classes. Thank you for sharing!

It’s just the first week, it our teachers are hitting the ground running! Ms. Buck, who teaches 6th Grade science, wanted to share this activity with our families. She writes: “This week our class participated in the Cup-Stack-Challenge, a fun yet purposeful team-building activity. Students worked in small groups to stack cups into a specific shape without ever touching them directly. Instead they had to use strings attached to a rubber band requiring careful, coordination, patients and problem-solving. While it may have looked like simple play this activity helped students practice importance skills like communication, collaboration, and resilience. Students had fun, but also helped strengthen life skills beyond the classroom. I was proud of the way they encouraged one another and celebrated their teamwork.” Thank you for sharing Ms. Buck! And awesome job, Warriors! #ilis #wearewarriors #theintermediateschool

The big day is almost here- and we are SO READY to welcome your children into our halls! Helpful Reminders: -There will be morning traffic, and a lot of it! Our doors open at 7:35am, and our tardy bell rings at 8:20am. Buses might be late as they pick up elementary first. Along with full backpacks and bellies, please pack patience in the morning. It will even out in a few weeks and you'll find your target time to leave the house or arrive at the bus stop. -Dismissal starts at 3:10pm. The car rider line usually starts moving around 3:15pm. If you do not have a car rider tag, have your ID ready to present and we will give it to you in the car rider line. -For our new 5th grade and 6th grade families- don't worry! It will be "all hands on deck" to make sure your kids know where they're headed and feel comfortable navigating the building! Most of all, remember that it's going to be an amazing year at The Intermediate School. We are ready, we are excited, we are prepared... 💙WE ARE WARRIORS💙

ILIs see you tomorrow!
Good Afternoon,

Bus Routes are officially live. Be sure to check the routes as bus numbers and routes have changed since last year. Please note that you should expect some delay s as we have lots of new students in our district. Our buses run their elementary routes first, followed by Intermediate/Middle, then high.

Bus Routes: https://lancastercsdsc.sites.thrillshare.com/o/lancaster-csd/page/bus-routes

We know that transportation changes can be frustraiting. Our Bus Department has set up a page where they post transportation changes as soon as they have them available to families. We recommend you bookmarking this page now and be sure to check it daily for any changes that could arise.

Daily Transportation Changes: https://www.lancastercsd.com/o/safety-transportation/article/1503715

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Bus Office at 803-283-0606. Again, we cannot handle anything transportation related at the school level.

We want to thank the Transportation Department for all of their hard work to get these schedules out. We appreciate them, and our drivers, for all they do to make sure our students are safe!

Thank you,
