Lancaster County School District is aware that inclement weather is expected over the weekend. Due to anticipated hazardous conditions caused by snow and ice, ALL afterschool athletics, activities, and school related programs will be canceled beginning at the end of the school day on Friday, January 23, 2026 through Sunday, January 25, 2026.
We are closely monitoring the weather event and our team has been communicating regularly with Duke Energy, South Carolina Department of Transportation, and SC Emergency Management Systems. We will provide an update on delays or closures on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

Our LHS Career Center Parent Night to 8th Graders-11th Graders and their families will be held on Thursday January 29th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. All CTE Programs at the Career Center and Business and Industry Partners related to each CTE Program will be present to talk about Careers, Further Training, etc. with their company, school or organization.

(Pizza and Drinks will be free for all and many door prizes will be given away at this event).

Lancaster County School District is proud to celebrate school achievement in 2024–2025. From the foundational work of K–2 teachers to the efforts of every educator and staff member through high school, this is truly a K–12 success story. LCSD has NO unsatisfactory schools, the number of below average schools decreased, and the number of excellent schools increased. LCSD outperformed the State in the Academic Achievement, Preparing for Success, Multilingual Learners Progress, Graduation Rate, and Student Progress categories. Together, our schools achieved significant gains.
